How soon should I place a catering order?
In order to serve you better, please give us at least two weeks notice. Even though we can usually accommodate one day notice, you have a better selection with more notice.





How far in advance does our banquet hall book?
Typically, our Saturday dates start booking about 15 months in advance, so you should confirm your date as soon as possible.

When is the deposit due?
When you sign a contract which books the date and time of your event.

Is my deposit refundable?
All deposits are non-refundable. We understand certain unforeseen circumstances may cause you to cancel your event. In those rare cases, we will hold your deposit as a credit towards a future event up to 1 year from the date of your previously scheduled gathering (may be used for a banquet, catering or drop off).

When is the final count due?
In order to serve you better, a final count of guests and firm serving time must be established seven days before the event. There may be an additional service charge for any last minute changes.

When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due three days before your scheduled event, unless other arrangements have been made in advance and noted on your contract.

For a catered event, what is the difference between drop off and full service?
When you order drop off service, we will deliver your food about 30 minutes before your scheduled eating time. All food is delivered in disposable containers and transported in a heated and refrigerated truck. Drop off service does not include warmers. Stainless steel chafing dishes and sternos can be rented for an additional $75 per unit, which includes buffet set up. The client is responsible for returning all non-disposable items to Maravela's the next day. You can also purchase disposable warming racks with hot water pans and sternos for $5.00 per set and our drivers will set them up for you. If you choose full service, the cost is 20% of the total food order. Full service includes friendly, uniformed servers (approximately one per 40 guests), stainless steel chafing dishes and servingware, set up and clean up of buffet area and bussing of tables. Usually, the servers work a four hour shift. Additional charges may apply for longer shifts (sit down service and family style are extra).

Can I rent tables and chairs from you?
Yes. We work with local rental centers and can coordinate all rental items for you, including tables & chairs. We can also give you referrals for specialty linens, backdrops, floral arrangements, photographers and DJs.
